Your Kids Say: Writing Haikus

A first grade class at the  has been learning all about Japan. 

Matthew's favorite part of the unit was learning how to write haikus. He said that writing haikus is kind of hard, but kind of easy.

He shares what he learned, and reads us his poem: "I saw a child/fighting in the dark forest/with a fire stick."
