Fort Pitt Tunnel Traffic Restrictions This Week

There will be some traffic restrictions during the work, but it will not affect traffic during the Pirates game.

PennDOT will be cleaning inside the Fort Pitt Tunnel on the Parkway West on Tuesday through Friday nights, Sept 17-20.

Single lane traffic will occur from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly in the tunnel according to the following schedule:

Tuesday and Wednesday nights, Sept. 17 and 18

Thursday and Friday nights, Sept. 19 and 20

Outbound restrictions will begin two hours after the end of the Pirates game.

Drivers should use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
