Choir Camp: Monday, August 26, at 9 a.m., Church of St. Martin-in-the-Fields will host a Choir Camp that will run concurrently with Vacation Bible School, and it is for rising 3rd through 7th graders. Fee is $25 per child, for the week. Town Hall MeetingTerry Tracy who is running for city controller as a Republican will host a town hall meeting Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the Commodore Berry Club in Mt. Airy at the intersection of Emlen Street and Carpenter Lane.

S'lichot:  The Germantown Jewish Centre will host a night of prayer on Saturday, August 31, 2013, 8:30 p.m.  This is how the centre describes it, "The tradition of S'lichot (reciting penitential prayers) invites us to return to ourselves and awaken our spirits. Join us for an evening of devotional music, spiritual kavanot (intentions) and inspiring melodies for the S'lichot prayers. We will create a comfortable space to learn, and enjoy time to worship and prepare for the High Holy Days in the warmth of community.
