Cranberry Getting New Brewpub

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA - Prepare for a new brewpub, Cranberry. Butler-based Recon Brewing plans to open a taproom in the township next year.

According to its website, Recon Brewing was established in 2016 by three friends who met through the Butler Township fire service. The Center Township brewery emphasizes high-quality yet simple beers known for their drinkability and value.

Recon's new taproom will be located in Charter Homes' massive Meeder development being built at the intersection of Route 19 and Rochester Road. It will be part of the project's first phase, which includes 26,000 square feet of retail space, 100 townhouse units, 28 apartment units and 21 single-family residential lots.

The retail component will be called the Crossroads at Meeder, according to Charter Homes. Recon is the first business to be announced for it.
