Cranberry's municipal government four years ago adopted a comprehensive long-range plan for community development through 2030 that placed a major emphasis on sustainable practices in the public sector.

The plan also called for efforts to encourage and support adoption of sustainability principles in the community's private sector.

The July 11 workshop is intended to bring together the experience and resources needed to help accelerate that adoption. In addition, the township provides public recognition through a variety of media to organizations in Cranberry that have succeeded in implementing sustainable practices.

Several companies that have received designations as “Healthy Cranberry Businesses” will attend the workshop.

A continental breakfast buffet will be available at the workshop. While there is no charge to participate, RSVPs are appreciated at businesshub@cranberrytownship.org or by phone at 724-776-9861
