The third annual Glacier Ridge Trail Ultramarathon and Trail Race is this weekend.

Racers from all over the country and Canada will put their endurance to the test this weekend in the Glacier Ridge Trail Ultramarathon and Trail Race.
Nearly 300 runners from 12 states and several Canadian provinces are expected to converge on Moraine State Park on Saturday, April 13 to compete in the third annual competition.
The event consists of three distances—a 30K, 50K and 50-mile race—and involves navigating mud, rocks, roots, weather and darkness for up to 14 hours while working to complete the race.

An ultramarathon race is any run that is longer than the 26.2 mile marathon distance.
"This race attracts more than just talented athletes," Jack Cohen, president of the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau, said in a statement. "Racers' families, volunteers, vendors and spectators all get to enjoy Moraine State Park and the rest of our County throughout their visit."
