CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA — Traffic flow improvements soon could be coming to the Chick-Fil-A on Route 228.

Township supervisors next week could approve the restaurant's request for a conditional use permit to reconfigure drive-thru lanes and the parking lot at the 4,903-square-foot restaurant.

According to township officials, the restaurant was built in 2003 and updated in 2017. Focused primarily now on drive-thru business, the existing order delivering canopy would be demolished and two new canopies constructed.

Two lanes would be used and an additional full access point would be created on Longtree Way to reduce the traffic queue from spilling into nearby business parking lots.

Additionally, dedicated walkways and pedestrian connections will allow safer access to the building, township officials said.
