Seneca Valley School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Seneca Valley is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Seneca Valley School District has released its 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

September

• 9/1: Teacher Inservice Day
• 9/5: First Day of School

• 10/9: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)

November

• 11/10: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 11/22: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 11/23 - 11/27: No School (Thanksgiving)

December

• 12/25 - 12/29: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/15: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 1/22: No School for Students (Teacher Inservice Day)

February

• 2/16: Snow Make-Up Day (becomes holiday if no snow make-up days are needed)
• 2/19: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)

March

• 3/29: No School for Students (Teacher Inservice Day)
• 3/30: No School (Spring Break)

April

• 4/2: No School (Spring Break)
• 4/3: Snow Make-Up Day (becomes holiday if no snow make-up days are needed)

May

• 5/18: No School for Students (Professional Development Day)
• 8/28: No School (Memorial Day)

June

• 6/1: Last Day for Seniors, Graduation Day
