• Oilology owner charged in 7th, 8th criminal cases since Nov. 21 (butlereagle.com) — Cranberry Township residents should know that the owner of local auto shop Oilology is facing two new criminal cases alleging deceptive business practices involving vehicle repairs and inspections. Police say customers paid thousands for work that wasn’t done and that one vehicle was allegedly driven without permission. A preliminary hearing on these latest charges is set for Jan. 9.

• Energy exec gives alma mater BC3 $100K (butlereagle.com) — A Cranberry Township resident and Butler County Community College alumnus has donated $100,000 to fund 125 one-time scholarships for BC3 students in the 2026-27 academic year. The gift will support both current high school seniors and returning Pennsylvania students, potentially allowing some to graduate debt-free. College leaders say the donation reflects a strong, long-term connection to the region.
