Brookline Teen Critically Wounded In Shooting

Tourniquets initially were needed to stem the victim's bleeding, police said.

BROOKLINE, PA — Two people are in custody after a Wednesday shooting in a home on the 2500 block of Woodward Avenue.

The victim, 16, suffered three gunshot wounds. Police responding to the scene applied tourniquets to slow the bleeding until EMS arrived and took him to the hospital.

The victim underwent surgery and is in critical condition.

Two males were seen running from the home and leaving in a vehicle that was identified by an officer a short time later. The names and ages of the pair subsequently apprehended was not immediately identified.

The investigation is ongoing.
