Outage: 1,300 Lose Power In Doylestown
More than 1,300 Doylestown Borough residents lost power Saturday after a private tree contractor damaged power lines, officials said.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — A private tree contractor damaged electrical power lines on Saturday, causing more than 1,300 PECO customers in Doylestown to lose power, borough officials said.
Crews from PECO Energy Company are working to restore service, which is expected to return around 5 p.m. About 300 PECO customers are still without power as of 3 p.m. Saturday, according to the company's outage map.
The Doylestown YMCA branch is currently without power and is closed for the remainder of Saturday.

Main Street's outdoor pedestrian zone is scheduled to take place from 5-11 p.m. as planned, borough officials said.
An outage caused by a private tree contractor damaging lines has left 1,311 Borough customers without power at this time. Peco crews are already working on the problem and power is expected to be restored shortly.
At this time, tonight’s Main Street Pedestrian Zone is still on.
