Patch: What attracted you to the line of work you’re in, and how did you get started?

Nacca: My children were babies and I could not afford daycare for them. I was fortunate enough to drive a school bus and was allowed to bring my children to work with me. I needed to make more money in order to make ends meet. I started cleaning houses in between my bus runs, still able to bring my children and tend to them at the same time. I did this for a couple of years as I built my business. I was eventually able to hire more help. Finally, I was able to give up driving the bus and just focus on Casey's Cleaning.

In 2006, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Between operations and treatments, I continued to work as much as possible. In 2009, I almost lost everything and that's when I decided I needed to take my business to the next level. I worked 17 -hour days, seven days a week, cleaning, marketing and billing, doing as much as I could do in order to keep payroll down. I caught up on all my bills, hired more people and put many more cars and crews on the road. I now have several billboards, a TV commercial and many advertisements throughout Ocean and Monmouth counties. I still work many hours each day, but I'm grateful that I can focus on the marketing and scheduling aspect of the business, and now my grandkids. I am even more grateful that I have remained cancer-free for eleven years.

Patch: If you had to sum up your business mission to a stranger in five words, what would those words be?

Nacca: Stand behind your work, always.

Patch: What’s the biggest challenge or most difficult moment you’ve faced in your job?

Nacca: Offer a great service at a reasonable price and address problems head on.

Patch: What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Nacca: I enjoy helping those who can't help themselves like some seniors and those who are disabled. Sometimes we get jobs where people would be evicted from their homes if we didn't get it cleaned up for them. These are the most rewarding. We also give back through Cleaning for a Reason. We clean cancer patients' homes for free as they go through their treatments. They are very appreciative.

Patch: How would you say your business or organization distinguishes itself from the others?

Nacca: We stay in a league of our own by doing a great job at a reasonable price, and always answering the phone. I always have the phones covered, if not by myself then someone else. If no one is going to be in the office, I forward them to my cell phone. I am married to my business. No matter what I'm doing, I stop and answer the phone. It is top priority here.

Patch: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given when it comes to success?

Nacca: Remember to try your best, but you can't please everyone.

Patch: Are there any new projects or endeavors you’re working on that you’re extra excited about?

Nacca: We are in the process of becoming a franchise. We are very excited about spreading across the entire country, and maybe even the world! The franchise should be up and running by the spring and there has already been interest from Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Virginia and Florida.

Patch: How can Patch readers learn more about your work and business?
