This comes after as much as 6 inches of snow was measured around Lake Erie Monday. In far northwestern Pennsylvania, the town of Colt Station got 8 inches of snow Monday morning.
More accumulating snow for some parts of Pennsylvania is expected later this week after a storm that hit the Northwest with flooding rain and mountain snow will shift eastward, AccuWeather said. The system will bring colder air across the eastern United States.

"Temperatures will drop a bit lower than they were early in the week, setting the stage for more disruptive wintry weather around the Great Lakes and interior Northeast," AccuWeather said.
"The overall amount of lake-effect snow upcoming for the Upper Midwest and interior Northeast appears to be on par with the event from Sunday to Monday," Senior Storm Warning Meteorologist Brian Wimer said.
While the Philadelphia region isn't expected to get snowfall this week, temperatures will turn chilly. On Friday, the low temperature will be in the upper 20s, according to the National Weather Service.
The cold temperatures are already causing travel issues in the Philadelphia area.
About 15 to 20 vehicles crashed on the Roosevelt Boulevard Extension in the East Falls area Tuesday morning. Investigators believe construction crews in the area used water while working in the area, and that water turned into ice, sources said.
