2 Bucks Co. Fallen Heroes To Be Honored Friday In Doylestown
A ceremony will be held this Friday at Doylestown's Freedom Square to honor two young fallen heroes from Bucks County.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A dedication ceremony will be held this Friday, Sept. 20 at Doylestown's Freedom Square to honor Bucks County’s two most recent fallen military heroes, ESN Sarah Mitchell and CPT Connor Bednarzyk.
During the dedication, which is organized by the Travis Manion Foundation, the memorial banners for the two military members will be unveiled. The event begins at 4 p.m.
Bednarzyk, a U.S. Army Ranger from Doylestown, was killed in a tactical vehicle accident last year in Georgia. He was 25.

Mitchell, a 2013 graduate of Neshaminy High School, was killed during Navy training in the Red Sea in July 2018.

Friday's dedication is open to the public. Several local Gold Star Family members are expected to be there.

Freedom Square is a community-built mosaic memorial at Pine Street and Garden Alley in Doylestown Borough. It honors every Bucks County post-9/11 fallen military member in perpetuity.
Travis Manion Foundation created the memorial in 2009 and refurbished it in 2017.
