PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Friends and co-workers of a couple who lost their beloved dog and their house in a devastating fire early Sunday morning in Plumstead, have set up a GoFundMe page to help them recover.

"This week, our work family experienced an unimaginable loss," writes page creator Wendy DiDomenico from Delta Community Support in Warminster. "Our payroll manager and his wife, who had just recently started with us, lost their home in a house fire. In a matter of moments, everything was gone - their belongings, their sense of security, and, heartbreakingly, a fur baby, a beloved member of their family.

"Jerry and Tracy made it out safely, and we are endlessly grateful for that. But they are now faced with starting completely over with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. They are grieving the loss of their home, their memories, and a precious dog who meant the world to them," Wendy writes.

Fire broke out in the home early Sunday morning, quickly spreading through the structure. Plumsteadville Fire Chief 24 arrived and observed fire coming out of both sides of the home. Due to the risk of fire to surrounding homes and extremely low temperatures, mutual aid was dispatched to assist.

Firefighters arriving on the scene immediately began fire suppression, attacking the fire with hand lines. They remained on the scene for an extended period, putting out hot spots and conducting overhaul operations.

"Those who know Jerry and Tracy know how much they give to others," writes Wendy. "They are dependable, compassionate, and the kind of people who show up without hesitation. Now it is our turn to show up for them. We are collecting whatever we can to help them with clothing, immediate necessities, replacing essentials, and the many unexpected costs ahead."

Wendy added, "No amount is too small. Every contribution, every share, and every kind message truly makes a difference. If you aren’t able to donate right now, please consider sharing this page and keeping Jerry and Tracy in your thoughts. Thank you for surrounding them with love as they grieve, heal, and begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives."
