2 Charged In Retail Theft At Rally House: Warrington Crime Report
In other reports, police caught a woman smoking marijuana while driving in the township.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warrington Township Police Department reported the following arrests in early September for retail theft and drug possession:
2 Arrested For Retail Theft At Rally House
- A man and a woman from Philadelphia are facing theft charges for stealing more than $400 earlier this month from the Rally House store at the Shops at Valley Square. On Sept. 10, Warminster Police relayed information to Warrington P.D. about a retail theft that just occurred in their township. Warrington Police located the suspect’s vehicle unoccupied in the parking lot of Rally House. The officer observed two subjects running towards the vehicle. Officers detained a 64-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Philadelphia. Officers observed a large bulge around man's the midsection which was merchandise with the tags intact. Further investigation confirmed that the suspects had just stolen $427.97 worth of merchandise from Rally House. They were placed under arrest and transported to the Warminster Police station where they were processed. The man was arraigned by Judge Hughes who set bail at $50,000 unsecured. Charges were filed against the woman.

- On September 12 at about 1:07 p.m., a Warrington Police officer observed a vehicle traveling north on Easton Road near Auto Zone. The driver, later identified as a 31-year-old woman from Abington, appeared to be smoking marijuana while driving, police said. After stopping the vehicle, police said the woman provided a false name. Officers later determined her driver’s license was suspended for a previous DUI and her registration was also suspended. The driver failed a series of field sobriety tests and was arrested, police said. A search of her vehicle uncovered suspected marijuana and multiple pieces of drug paraphernalia. The woman refused to submit to a blood test and was released pending a criminal complaint filed with the District Court. She is charged with DUI, 3 counts of prohibited acts, driving on a suspended license, driving an unregistered vehicle, and providing false identification to police.
