40,000 Pounds Of Chicken Nuggets Spilled Onto Bucks Co. Highway: Reports
A tractor trailer flipped on the Sellersville Bypass early Wednesday, and the mess from its fast food cargo left the road closed for hours.
SELLERSVILLE, PA — Disaster struck on southbound Route 309 Wednesday morning when a tractor-trailer flipped and spilled thousands of pounds of chicken nuggets onto the roadway, according to multiple reports.
The tractor trailer left the roadway around 6:26 a.m., the Sellersville Fire Department said.
According to 6abc, the crash left 40,000 pounds of chicken nuggets on the highway and shoulder.

"Crews confirmed the driver was out of the vehicle and were able to secure the hazards associated with the crash," the fire department said in its report.
Investigators are looking into the cause of the crash, according to the fire department. The roadway has reopened, but was closed for several hours.

"Crews remained on the scene for hours to clean up all that chicken," 6abc reported, sharing footage of the crash from its news chopper.
The news station said the driver had apparently lost control of the trailer.
