Here are five low-cost outings around Doylestown and the rest of Bucks county where you can take the family or go with friends.
The Sellersville Theater — There is always something going on and some shows at the Sellersville Theater offer tickets starting at $25, some are less. For family fun, there's a comedy and magic show coming up on May 12. Come out to see John Cassidy: Comedy, Magic & Really Weird Things With Balloons at 1 p.m. Tickets are $12.

Doylestown Farmers Market — The Doylestown Farmers Market is open for the season, happening now every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at S. Hamilton Street between W. Oakland Avenue and West State Street. The main attraction is delicious fresh food but also watch for events and special vendors on the Doylestown Farmers Market Facebook page.
Arts & Crafts At Burpee Park — Summer is coming and Doylestown Borough has activities planned for kids. The Arts & Crafts Program begins July 5, happening weekdays through July 31 from 9:15-10:15 a.m. or 10:30-11:30 a.m. There's a seasonal fee of $15.00 per child for Borough residents and $25.00 per child for non-Borough residents. Cars Shows, Cruises All Summer Long! — Car shows are going on all over Pennsylvania, and they are often free to spectators. Follow listings for local or statewide events here or at the helpful Car Cruise Finder website. Look at the posts to see if there's a cost for spectators; fees listed are usually for those entering a car in the show or for vendors. The Camaro Nationals car show will be held in nearby Morgantown July 14-16.
