BUCKS COUNTY, PA — As summer wanes and cooler temperatures settle in, the Bucks County landscape is taking on an autumnal feel.

More than 100 scarecrows have returned to Peddler's Village, lining the brick walkways at one of the region's top tourist destinations. This weekend brings the annual Scarecrow Festival to the grounds of the village with scarecrow-building workshops, live music, pumpkin painting, fall-themed activities, and lots of food and drinks.

Scarecrow Festival Kicks Off Fall Season In Bucks

Peddler's Village will officially kick off the fall season with a two-day Scarecrow Festival this weekend. On Saturday, Sept. 13 and Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Peddler’s Village will host its annual Scarecrow Festival, an autumn-themed weekend featuring scarecrow workshops, live music, pumpkin painting, activities, and outdoor food and drinks.

Artisan Market Returns To Washington Crossing

Area residents looking for one-of-a-kind artisan gifts for themselves or others can check out McConkey’s Market on Saturday, Sept. 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Washington Crossing Historic Park (PA). Now celebrating its 11th season, McConkey’s Market attracts thousands of shoppers to its eclectic mix of nearly 100 vendors who will be selling artisan crafts, up-cycled items, handmade jewelry, original art and photography, pottery, vintage clothing, reclaimed furniture, and collectibles. The market also features live music and several food vendors.

Northampton Day To Celebrate Community

The 27th Annual Northampton Day Festival unfolds on Sunday, Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the former Richboro Middle School at 98 Upper Holland Road. "We hope to see you on Sunday, Sept. 14 for this fantastic community event," said Jenny Esposito, who detailed the day's events and activities at the August meeting of the Northampton Township Board of Supervisors.

Garden of Reflection 5K Steps Off On Sunday

The 23rd Annual 9/11 Memorial Garden of Reflection 5K Run/Walk is scheduled to step off on Sunday, Sept. 14 at 9 a.m. at the Garden of Reflection on Woodside Road in Lower Makefield. The race will begin and end at Memorial Park and will be take place in memory of the lives lost on Sept. 11, 2001, in New York City, the Pentagon and on a farm in Western Pennsylvania. Proceeds from the event will benefit the garden's Remembrance Fund, an endowment set up to preserve the memorial for generations to come. 'Boneyard Sale' Returns To The TileWorks

The Boneyard Sale at the TileWorks is back. Once a year, the TileWorks puts out tiles in its courtyard that are seconds, overruns, or slightly worn, which the public can grab at 50 percent off. The 4th annual Boneyard Sale will be open to the public for free on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13th and 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
