Arguments Escalate Into Assaults: Plumstead Twp. Police Report
Police reported two separate incidents of domestic assaults in the township.
PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Plumstead Township reported the following arrests after two separate domestic incidents escalated into assaults:
October 4
- An argument between a husband and wife escalated into a physical altercation last weekend resulting in an assault charge against the 53-year-old man. On Oct. 4 at about 8:46 p.m., police responded to a domestic incident at Stump Road. Upon arrival, they encountered a man who appeared highly intoxicated and had a strong odor of marijuana on his person. The man told police that he had a verbal argument with his wife, which escalated into a physical altercation. Officers observed visible blood on the wife's face and shirt, as well as multiple lacerations on her lips and right cheek. The man was taken into custody, charged, and arraigned. His bail was unsecured. The victim was provided with the victim's rights form and information from A Women's Place but refused medical attention.

- An argument between a husband and wife escalated into a physical assault at a home on Franklin Circle. The victim, a 45-year-old woman, reported that her husband struck her in the forehead with his forehead during an argument. Police said the victim suffered slight swelling to her forehead. Her husband was informed that he would be facing criminal charges and agreed to turn himself in. However, he failed to respond to phone calls, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On October 8, he turned himself in at the Central Bucks Regional Police station, where he was processed and arraigned before District Judge Gambardella. He was released on $100,000 unsecured bail with no-contact provisions.
