Book Festival Announces Books ‘N Brew Event In Doylestown
Authors will entertain patrons while they eat and drink at three Doylestown restaurants as part of the Bucks County Book Festival.
DOYLESTOWN, PA —A Books ‘N Brew event has been announced as part of the Bucks County Book Festival. During the event, three restaurants and bars in Doylestown will host authors who will entertain patrons while they eat and drink.
The Books ‘N Brew event is planned for Saturday, Oct. 12 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Event partners are Hops/Scotch at 22 South Main Street, M.O.M.’s (Maxwell’s on Main) at 37 North Main Street, and Pag’s Pub at 72 West State Street.

The bars/restaurants will be crafting special cocktails to celebrate Books ‘N Brew, according to event organizers.
Here’s how it works: you pick a participating venue and stay put. Three teams of authors will visit each location and entertain you.

The authors on the first team include Alisa Wismer (Let’s Talk About Modern Art) and Carter Michael Bowman (Calm; Decay, Volume One; Who Killed Cock Robin).
Team two boasts John Holl (Drink Beer, Think Beer: Getting to the Bottom of Every Pint), Damian Nicholl (The Moment of Truth), Jon McGoran, (Spliced and Splintered), and Merry Jones (What You Don't Know).
Book Fest is proud to introduce up-and-coming talent. Members of the third team are Jean Kyoung Frazier, Evan Gorzeman, Sarah-Jane Collins, and Brady Dean Jackson. Each of these impressive writers recently earned an MFA from Columbia University’s prestigious department of fiction writing in New York City, where most of them are currently living, working, and writing. You can say “you heard them first” at Books ‘N Brew.
After Books ‘N Brew, the event's keynote event will be held at Salem United Church of Christ. The event "A Conversation with Anna Quindlen" starts at 7 p.m.
Quindlen is a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and bestselling author, who has written nine novels and nine books of nonfiction. The Keynote Event is a ticketed event.
The Bucks County Book Festival will be held in Doylestown on Oct. 12 and 13.
It will also feature author panels and book signings, writers’ and illustrators’ workshops, Kids Book Fest and Fire Prevention Open House, a One Book event, vendors, and more. Most events are free.
