Bucks Co. Congressman To Again Lead Bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Bucks County Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1) has been unanimously reelected by his colleagues to serve as co-chair of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus for the 119th Congress.

The 52-member caucus, evenly split between Republicans and Democrats, continues to play an instrumental role in addressing some of the nation’s most pressing challenges. Under Fitzpatrick’s leadership, the caucus has championed critical legislation, from delivering COVID-19 relief to laying the groundwork for the historic Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

In the 118th Congress, the caucus endorsed a record 30 bipartisan bills, several of which were signed into law, including:

• Social Security Fairness Act – Expanded Social Security benefits for millions of retired law enforcement officers, educators, postal workers, and other hard-working public servants by repealing the WEP and GPO.
• Fiscal Responsibility Act – Prevented an economic crisis by curbing government spending, strengthening fiscal accountability, and raising the debt ceiling to protect America’s financial future.
• Invest to Protect Act – Strengthened police departments nationwide through targeted investments in officer safety, recruitment, and mental health.

The caucus also played a decisive role in averting government shutdowns and advancing comprehensive immigration reform through the DIGNIDAD (Dignity) Act, which proposes a forward-looking approach to securing our borders, streamlining asylum processes, and bolstering the economy.

Fitzpatrick’s reelection as co-chair solidifies his role as a unifying force in Congress, championing bipartisan solutions that prioritize people over politics and progress over partisanship.

As co-chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, Fitzpatrick said he will continue leading efforts to bridge divides, foster collaboration, and deliver on the issues that matter most to constituents and communities nationwide.

Beyond his leadership in the Problem Solvers Caucus, Fitzpatrick holds several key positions in Congress, serving on the House Ways and Means Committee and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) as Chairman of the House Subcommittee on National Intelligence.

In addition, he serves as a member of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, strengthening U.S. alliances abroad, and co-chairs a diverse array of task forces and caucuses, championing key issues across a wide spectrum of policy areas, including: Bipartisan Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder Task Force, Congressional Ukraine Caucus, Bipartisan Task Force for Combating Antisemitism, ALS Caucus, House Cancer Caucus, Congressional Fire Services Caucus, Congressional PFAS Task Force, Congressional Pre-K and Childcare Caucus, Bipartisan Disabilities Caucus, NASA Space Exploration Caucus, Delaware River Watershed Caucus, Congressional Animal Protection Caucus.
