Bucks County SPCA Names New Board President

Diane Magee, solicitor for the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds, has been named board president for the Bucks County SPCA.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Bucks County SPCA has announced the election of Dianne Magee as its board president.

Magee is an attorney with Grim, Biehn & Thatcher in Perkasie and is the current solicitor for the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds Office. Her main areas of practice include estate and trust administration, estate planning, elder law and Orphans' Court litigation and adoptions.

Magee joined the SPCA board in 2016 and has served on the organization's finance and events committees. She was named the Bucks Count YWCA 2019 Woman of the Year for Advocacy and Civic Engagement and has a longtime board membership at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County.

“For more than a century, the Bucks County SPCA has been a community-supported nonprofit working on behalf of animals and people in need,” Linda Reider, Executive Director of the Bucks County SPCA, said in a news release. “Dianne brings a wealth of experience and expertise in her field, and an obvious passion for our mission of preventing animal suffering through rescue, rehoming, cruelty investigation and prosecution, and community outreach. She is a great asset to our board, and we are pleased to have her leadership as president, especially during a time of unprecedented challenges and organizational growth.”

The Bucks County SPCA has provided a safe haven for abandoned or lost animals since 1912.
