DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Central Bucks Regional Police Captain Paul Kreuter and Detective Danielle Politsky were commended for meritorious service at the December meeting of the police commission.

The award was presented by Police Chief Karl Knott, who shared with the commission the investigatory work by the two officers that led to the arrest of a "very dangerous suspect."

On August 11, Chief Knott said a resident reported being stalked and threatened by an ex-boyfriend she had dated 20 years earlier.

The suspect had left a dead octopus next to the victim’s car and dead fish in her front yard. He also used chemicals to write derogatory names on her lawn, destroyed her car with chemicals and manure, and left a rifle round on the hood of her car.

The suspect also harassed his former girlfriend with a large amount of text messages and emails sent by using a cloaking application, said Chief Knott.

Detective Politsky was assigned to the case with oversight and assistance provided by Captain Kreuter.

"During the investigation, Detective Politsky proficiently and professionally processed the victim’s car and recovered three tracking devices, two on the victim’s car and one on the current boyfriend’s car," said Chief Knott. "Detective Politsky filed over 10 search warrants on this case and was able to determine the name of the suspect through investigation and interviews."

When a search warrant was executed on the suspect’s residence in Herndon, Virginia, police in Herndon found multiple long guns and handguns and numerous items and materials that could be used to make bombs.

Herndon Police were assisted by the Fairfax County Virginia Sheriff’s Bomb Squad, the ATF, FBI and Fairfax County Fire and EMS Services.

The area surrounding the suspect’s home was evacuated until the residence was secure. Evidence of the crimes committed in Doylestown were obtained resulting in Detective Politsky filing criminal charges and arresting the suspect.

"This investigation and subsequent arrest are a fine example of a well-coordinated effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies (local, state, and federal) to successfully find and arrest a very dangerous suspect," said Chief Knott. "Detective Politsky is commended for her
investigative expertise and Captain Kreuter for his oversight and efforts in coordinating the numerous agencies. Their actions bring credit to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department and to themselves individually."
