Central Bucks Student Wins $20K Scholarship To Attend Harvard
Amy Liu has been recognized as one of the country's most outstanding high school students by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.

WARRINGTON, PA — A senior at Central Bucks High School South has been recognized as one of the country's most outstanding high school students by the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation.
Amy Liu has been awarded a $20,000 college scholarship by the foundation. She was one of 150 students selected from more than 99,000 applicants across the country to receive the scholarship.
Liu will attend Harvard University in the fall and hopes to explore the storied institution's linguistics, computer science and economics programs while earning a citation in Spanish. Liu credits her family experiences for inspiring a passion for her next steps.

“I think my family circumstances were definitely unique and instrumental in shaping my identity," Liu said. "Living with my visually impaired grandfather and half-paralyzed grandmother has taught me not only the dire need for disability advocacy, but also the power of tactile languages like Braille in bridging communities and combating systemic inequities."
The Coca-Cola Scholars Program has provided more than 6,450 students nationwide with more than $75 million in scholarships over the past 33 years.
