A Central Bucks high school student who was severely injured in a fatal post-prom crash in the Poconos has a "vigorous rehab ahead of him."
DOYLESTOWN, PA — A Central Bucks East High School student who was severely injured in a fatal post-prom crash on June 5 has a "long and vigorous rehab ahead of him," family members said.
According to a GoFundMe page for 17-year-old Jonah Osborne, the Central Bucks teen remains in the care of Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. He is still unresponsive to commands but will be transported by ambulance to an inpatient rehab facility on Wednesday, a family member said.
Osborne had just finished celebrating prom night at The Fuge in Warminster when he and three of his friends drove to the Poconos for the weekend. Around 1:20 a.m., June 5, Osborne lost control of the vehicle on Ledgedale Road in Pike County, causing the vehicle to roll over several times before striking a tree on the side of the roadway, according to state police.
