Central Bucks To Vote On 'Modified Quarantine' Wednesday

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Central Bucks School Board will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the potential implementation of modified quarantine, which allows students to continue to attend school even if they are exposed to someone who tested positive for coronavirus.

In August, the Bucks County Health Department recommended that school districts implement a modified quarantine for students who were exposed to the virus but are asymptomatic.

While the Quakertown, Pennridge and Palisades districts all decided to implement a modified quarantine, Central Bucks decided to go a different route, instead going with the Centers for Disease Control's more strict isolation recommendations.

District officials now appear to be more open to the idea.
