'Cocktails At The Castle' Promises Unforgettable Evening In Doylestown

Major fundraiser for the Mercer Museum returns to the grounds of the Doylestown landmark this month.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Mercer Museum’s annual major fundraiser Cocktails at the Castle returns to Doylestown on Saturday, October 11 from 6 to 10 p.m., for a night of culinary delights and tasty cocktails, all for a great cause.

The annual tradition supports the Mercer Museum’s year-round education programs, exhibitions, and community initiatives. The Mercer Museum is operated by the Bucks County Historical Society (BCHS).

Guests will enjoy an unforgettable evening on the grounds of the Mercer Museum with delicious specialties from a wide array of Bucks County culinary purveyors, along with one-of-a-kind craft cocktail creations, a decadent dessert lounge, and exceptional entertainment throughout the night.

The evening will kickoff with the Pine Street Stroll cocktail hour, where guests can enjoy pedestrian-only access to a party on Pine Street in the heart of Doylestown’s Cultural District, as well as in the historic quad on the grounds of the Mercer Museum.

DJ Brickhouse will be on the turntables while guests take in stunning views of the museum and the historic Log House. Guests will also enjoy the special ambience of the outdoor fire pits while sampling a tasty selection of food offerings from area restaurants.

After cocktail hour, local restaurant, beverage, and catering partners will serve carefully curated specialty dishes to guests both inside and outside of the Mercer Museum. This year’s current list of culinary partners includes Aurora Bistro, Carve 52, Chambers 19, The Coffee Scoop, Cross Culture Fine Indian Cuisine, Doan Distillery, Empanada Mama, Genevieve’s Kitchen, Las Frida’s Mexican Kitchen, Luberto’s Brick Oven Pizza & Trattoria, Saporito Fresh Pasta, Simply Fresh by McCaffrey’s, Vernafern, Water Wheel Tavern, Wegmans,and Wycombe Vineyards.

Guests will dance the night away to Philadelphia favorites “Where’s Pete Band” and cap off the evening with tempting creations in the dessert lounge from Le Macaron French Pastries, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pierre’s Chocolate, and Sweet Victory.

Bucks County Historical Society Chief Executive Officer Kyle McKoy says, “We are delighted to invite the community to our annual Cocktails at the Castle fundraising event for the Mercer Museum. It is a magical evening filled with wonderful area restaurants in an exceptional historic setting!”

In addition to the event, an important fundraising component of Cocktails at the Castle is an online silent auction featuring one-of-a-kind experiences and unique packages. Auction participants do not need to purchase tickets or attend the Cocktails at the Castle event, and all bidding is done virtually. Tickets to this year’s Cocktails at the Castle are $400 for VIP admission, $250 for General Admission and $225 for Bucks County Historical Society Members.
