DOYLESTOWN, PA — Thursday is the deadline for Bucks County residents to register for Free Narcan Training, the Bucks County District Attorney's Office said Tuesday.

NARCAN® (Naloxone HCl) Nasal Spray is the first FDA-approved nasal form of naloxone, used for emergency treatment of a known or suspected opioid overdose. It's an important treatment to know how to use: in the past year, Bucks County reported 779 opioid overdoses, with those in their 20s and 30s especially affected.

The in-person training, which will teach residents to administer the lifesaving overdose prevention drug, will take place on Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Residents can register here for the training in the Administration Building at 55 E. Court Street in Doylestown.
