Doc Bakers Organic Cold Pressed Juice Makes a Big Splash

It was non-stop blending, juicing and pressing at the Grand Opening of Doc Bakers, the new all-organic, all-vegan, mostly raw natural ingredients juice bar in Doylestown.

From 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the first day of spring, the staff at , was swarmed with business off State Street.

The second day was just as busy.

Angelo Greco, the president of the company, says Doc Bakers is the only juice bar and restaurant in Central Bucks featuring "all-organic, all-natural, all-vegan, mostly raw, all supremely nutritious and delicious fare."

Greco is both an actual pharmacist and a "farmacist," using food to help improve people's health.

"Food is the answer to our own health," he says. "The most important thing to remember is that our juice blends are based on cold pressed juice, which means that it is extracted without any heat or friction. By doing this the enzymes are contained for a longer period and you also get higher nutrition, and by having enymes active, it helps your body digest it a lot easier and with a lot less energy."

Doc Baker’s chef also will produce dishes made without dairy, soy or animal ingredients; most preparations are gluten-free, as well.

The juice bar is situated in the Doylestown Inn, just west of the Inn’s main entrance, at 18 W. State Street.
