Domestic Assault, Retail Thefts Reported In New Britain Twp.

During September, police investigated numerous retail thefts and made an arrest for domestic assault.

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA — The New Britain Township Police Department reported the following incidents between Sept. 1 and 30. During the tour, the patrol unit handled 22 traffic accidents, 127 alarm calls, 47 medical emergencies and 23 abandoned 911 calls.

September 1

  • A retail theft was reported at the Fine Wine and Good Spirits at 4275 County Line Road. Police said two women selected merchandise and left the store without paying. The detective division is investigating, and the case remains open.

September 3

  • A retail theft was reported at the Wawa convenience store located at 525 West Butler Avenue. As a result of an investigation, police charged a suspect with retail thefts at the Wawa and at the Giant store at 4275 County Line Road.

September 5

  • A retail theft was reported at the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store. An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.

September 11

  • Officers stopped a car at County Line and Upper State roads. The driver was identified and had an extraditable warrant out of Nevada. The driver was arrested and transported to the Bucks County Prison.

September 23

  • Police were dispatched to the 100 block of Galway Circle for a well-being check. On arrival, police discovered that a woman had been assaulted by her domestic partner. The man was arrested and charged with related offenses.
