PLUMSTEAD, PA — A Doylestown 13-year-old has been accused of multiple car thefts over this past weekend, Plumstead Township Police announced Monday.

On Saturday, a Winterberry Drive resident who lives across from the Arbor Estates Mobile Home Park told police his red 2004 Nissan had been taken from his driveway sometime between 9 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Saturday.

A Bucks County Park Ranger later found the car near Peace Valley Park with its registration missing.

Then, at 12:30 p.m., Plumstead police responded to Fountain Circle for a report of a car hitting a tree. The car's occupants had fled on foot after the crash, police said.

When officers arrived, they determined the registration on the blue Dodge which had crashed was not valid.

Further investigation revealed the car was stolen from a Doylestown home, police said. When they reviewed video surveillance from the area, they were able to identify a 13-year-old Arbor Estates resident and his "juvenile associate."

The young man was wanted by Bucks County Juvenile Probation, police said they discovered after further investigation.

Then on Sunday, the young man was found. He fled from officers but was discovered hiding in a shed on Winterberry Drive, where police took him into custody.

He was charged with receiving stolen property and other related offenses, and transported to the Bucks County Juvenile Detention Center in Doylestown.

Officers found a set of Nissan car keys along with a set of Audi car keys on his person, and are asking if anyone is missing a set of Audi car keys.
