Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department Gets Excellence Award
The honor recognizes healthcare organizations achieving the 95th percentile or above in patient experience in their emergency department.
DOYLESTOWN, PA — Doylestown Hospital earned a Press Ganey 2021 Guardian of Excellence Award® for Patient Experience, according to an announcement on Monday.
Press Ganey recognized the Hospital as a top-performing healthcare organization achieving the 95th percentile or above for performance in patient experience in the emergency department.
“The Doylestown Hospital Emergency Department consistently delivers high-quality, efficient and compassionate care,” said Doylestown Health President and CEO Jim Brexler. “Especially during these challenging times, I am truly proud of the entire staff, whose dedication to providing excellence in emergency care is consistent day in and day out, earning high marks from patients and their families.”

The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a nationally-recognized achievement for leading healthcare organizations, according to a news release. Presented annually, the award recognizes hospitals and health systems that consistently sustained performance in the top 5 percent of all Press Ganey clients.
“The Emergency Medicine team at Doylestown Hospital has consistently demonstrated selfless dedication to providing high-quality care for our community,” said Brenda Foley, MD, FACEP, and the emergency department's medical director. “Particularly during the challenging climate of the COVID-19 pandemic, Doylestown Hospital’s Emergency Department remains a leader in the delivery of compassionate care for our patients. I am truly proud of all that our team has achieved.”

The hospital's emergency department, whose current facility opened in 2010, is staffed by certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses and patient care technicians. The emergency department also has 39 private treatment areas, two critical care suites and a designated pediatric/minor acute care area.
