DOYLESTOWN, PA — If you use the Starbucks drive-thru in Doylestown, it soon might get a bit more convenient to get your caffeine fix.
Improvements at the N. Main Street businesses' drive-thru have been approved by the borough, and aim to make the feature safer and more convenient for customers.
The project includes a reconfiguration of the drive-thru lane so as to extend the queue area and reduce wait times.

The Zoning Hearing Board in February approved variances to allow for the improvements. On Monday, the Doylestown Borough Council gave their approval.
According to information provided during the meeting, in addition to reconfiguring the drive-thru lane, pavement marking and additional signage will be added to better define the queue area.

Internal building renovations, including the addition of another shop entrance along N. Main Street, will be part of the project. The new door will provide access to the underutilized parking area as well as direct pedestrian access to N. Main Street.
The plan was approved with some conditions, including the addition of three shade trees.
