DOYLESTOWN, PA — Art and music will again take over the streets of Doylestown in early September when Arts Festival unfolds for its 34th year.

Held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 6 and 7 the volunteer-organized festival will continue its mission to highlight independent creators, support small businesses, and raise awareness of the local cultural scene with an outdoor marketplace featuring unique and one-of-a-kind works of art.

This year, more than 160 independent artists will fill the streets over the two-day event, while 40 local and regional bands perform across five outdoor stages.

Visitors can look forward to a variety of live art activities and interactive demonstrations, including wheel-thrown pottery, glass blowing, balloon animals, face painting, sand art, silk scarf painting, and much more. Local museums, non-profits, and popular destinations will also add to the vibrancy of the weekend through the festival’s ongoing cultural partner program.

“As Doylestown’s largest volunteer-organized event, the Doylestown Arts Festival drives home what it means to support art and culture within our community," said Kris Boger, volunteer co-director of the Doylestown Arts Festival. "Nearly 150 volunteers in blue shirts work from 5 a.m. till nearly 8 p.m. with members of our public works and emergency services partners to make this weekend possible. Welcoming tens of thousands of people to our area to experience art, our vibrant small business community, talented musicians, and wondrous cultural destinations, Doylestown truly shines brightly with creative energy."

The 2025 festival features a number of new additions and expansions, including a Saturday-only expansion of artists on E. State Street, a larger food court in Dommel Way, and a brand new beer garden in partnership with Neshaminy Creek Brewing in the parking lot at the corner of State and Pine Streets. These new additions will offer opportunities for more artists, activities, and local businesses to be involved in this year’s festival while also offering visitors more to explore.

“The Doylestown Arts Festival is quite possibly the most anticipated event of the year in Doylestown, if not all of Bucks County. There’s nothing like checking out the booths of local and visiting artists, whether they be your returning favorites with new creations or first-time vendors you’re discovering for the first time. The live music and food vendors are a great addition to the fun,” said James Lamb, a
Doylestown Borough business owner.

As one of the largest free-to-attend arts festivals in southeastern Pennsylvania, the Doylestown Arts Festival strives to make the arts more accessible to the public by bringing art, music, and a variety of the region's cultural destinations and organizations onto the street for all to experience and enjoy.

The festival also serves as an introduction to the community to visitors from near and far, who are drawn to Doylestown for the festivities and the well-known cultural scene.

The Doylestown Arts Festival and Borough of Doylestown are continuing to improve parking options for attendees. The festival is just blocks from the SEPTA Regional Rail station and bus stops, as well as the Doylestown Dart will be providing free accessible shuttle services to offsite parking. Uber and Lyft both have active drivers in the area for those who want to avoid parking. Attendees are encouraged to visit the parking page of the Doylestown Arts Festival’s website to view all available parking and ride options.

The Doylestown Arts Festival is made possible by a small volunteer committee of Discover Doylestown and is presented by the Thompson Organization. For more information about this year’s festival, please visit dtownartsfestival.com.
