DUI Arrests, Firearms Violations Reported By Central Bucks Regional

Police also arrested several for passing counterfeit cash and issued numerous citations for public urination.

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Central Bucks Regional Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during the month of December.

December 1

  • North Main and West State Streets, Doylestown Borough. A 30-year-old man from Elkins Park was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for driving erratically and with no headlights. The driver was also found to have a suspended driver’s license. Police said the driver presented with an odor of alcohol, glassy and bloodshot eyes. The man failed field sobriety tests and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

  • New Britain Borough. A 25-year-old woman from Miami, Florida, was charged with forgery, theft by deception, identity theft, receiving stolen property and bad checks stemming from an incident that took place in October. The woman, along with another offender, forged and cashed four fraudulent checks totaling $16,500 from the victim’s account. An arrest warrant was issued and the woman was detained by Miami PD and is awaiting extradition to Bucks County.
  • New Britain Borough. A 24-year-old man from Miami, Florida, was charged with forgery, theft by deception, identity theft, receiving stolen property and bad checks stemming from an incident that took place in October 2024. The man, along with another offender, forged and cashed four fraudulent checks totaling $16,500 from the victim’s account. An arrest warrant has been issued for his arrest.

December 5

  • Doylestown Borough. Fourteen individuals were cited for public urination on Nov. 27 at locations throughout the borough. Citations were issued to a 27-year-old man from Warminster, a 22-year-old man from Dublin, a 22 year-old man from Doylestown, a 31-year-old man from St. Petersburg, Florida, a 27-year-old man from Warrington, a 23-year-old man from Jamison, a 22-year-old man from North Wales, a 22-year-old man from Lansdale, an 18-year-old man from Doylestown, a 22-year-old man from Pipersville, a 22-year-old man from Chalfont, a 21-year-old man from Doylestown, a 22-year-old man from Collegeville, and a 23 year-old man from Warrington.
  • Alumni Lane and Student Center Drive at Delaware Valley University, New Britain Borough. A 19-year-old Pittsburgh woman was charged with DUI following police dispatch to an I-Phone crash notification. Upon arrival police observed the woman attempting to park in a space and no indication of a traffic accident. The woman presented with several signs of intoxication including slurred speech, glassy bloodshot eyes, odor of alcohol and uncoordinated movements. The woman failed field tests and a subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

December 11

  • 143 East Butler Avenue (Bunker Gun Shop II), Chalfont Borough. An arrest warrant was issued for a 25-year-old Philadelphia man after he attempted to purchase a firearm when prohibited. He turned himself in on Dec. 11, was arraigned, and bail set at $10,000 unsecured with conditions.

December 15

  • Town Center, New Britain Borough. Felix Gonzales-Maldini, 30, of Patterson, N.J., and Borris Alberto Ibarra Riojas, 29, of Newburgh, N.Y., were charged with forgery, receiving stolen property, theft by deception, evading arrest, and retail theft. Maldini and Riojas, along with two other offenders, purchased food at Nico’s Pizza with counterfeit $100 bills receiving change for the balance in legal currency. They left the establishment and entered several other stores to pass counterfeit bills. Police attempted to stop one of the offender’s vehicles when two subjects, Maldini and Riojas, exited the vehicle and fled on foot. K9 Granite was deployed tracking the offenders behind the Town Center and then onto W. Butler Avenue. Maldini and Riojas were found dining at the New Britain Inn where they were positively identified and taken into custody. Both offenders were arraigned, bail set at 10 percent of $1,000,000 and were remanded to Bucks County Prison. Additionally, a detainer was placed on Maldini on a separate arrest warrant out of Connecticut.

December 7

  • North Street and Swamp Road, Doylestown Borough. A 23-year-old Newtown man was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for not using his headlights during a required time. Police said the vehicle came to a stop with the front passenger-side tire on the curb. The man presented with an odor of alcohol, bloodshot glassy eyes and slurred speech. The driver failed field sobriety tests and refused legal blood draw at Doylestown Hospital.

December 8

  • North Main Street and Veterans Lane, Doylestown Borough. A 26-year-old woman from Doylestown was charged with DUI following a traffic stop for speeding and erratic driving. She presented with an odor of alcohol, bloodshot glassy eyes and admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. She failed a field sobriety test and subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • 403 South Main Street (Valley House), Doylestown Borough. A 79-year-old Doylestown woman was charged with disorderly conduct following police response for excessive noise. A citation was filed.

December 11

  • Green Street and Scout Way, Doylestown Borough. A 58-year-old man from Yardley was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop for speeding. A citation was filed.

December 15

  • West State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 48-year-old woman from Florham Park, New Jersey, was charged with DUI following police response for a car driving the wrong way on a one-way street. The woman presented with an odor of alcohol and was uncooperative which ended an attempt to conduct field sobriety testing. Legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.
  • North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. A 21-year-old man from Pipersville was cited for public urination.

December 17

  • Sunset Avenue, Chalfont Borough. A 33-year-old woman from Rockledge was charged with DUI following police response to an erratic driver and conducted a traffic stop. The woman presented with slurred speech, droopy eyes and lethargic movements. Field sobriety tests were conducted and failed. Subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

December 19

  • 143 East Butler Ave. (Bunker Gun Shop II), Chalfont Borough. Quaneigh Rejene Davis, 27, of Philadelphia, was charged with a weapons violation for making false statements in attempt to purchase a firearm in September 2024. Davis turned herself in on an arrest warrant followed by arraignment. Bail was set at $10,000 unsecured.
  • Swamp Road and East Court Street, Doylestown Borough. A 30-year-old man from Furlong, was cited for possession of a small amount of marijuana during a traffic stop for an expired registration.

December 22

  • 555 North Broad Street, Doylestown Borough. A 27-year-old Doylestown woman was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment following police response to a domestic in progress. The physical altercation left the victim with bruising.

December 24

  • West State Street, Doylestown Borough. A 56-year-old man from Doylestown was charged with DUI following the report of several traffic violations and subsequent traffic stop. He presented with slurred speech and slow motor skills. Field sobriety tests were conducted and failed. Subsequent legal blood draw was obtained at Doylestown Hospital.

  • North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) damaged the rear hatch to a vehicle parked at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

December 4

  • North Main Street, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) fraudulently withdrew $13,000 bitcoin from the victim’s account.

December 5

  • North Shady Retreat Road, New Britain Borough. Unknown person(s) attempted to withdraw funds from victim’s account.
  • 555 North Broad Street (Center Square Towers), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) broke a rear driver side passenger window on a vehicle stealing items in excess of $3,000 from inside.

December 13

  • 555 North Broad Street (Center Square Towers), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) broke the rear driver’s side window of a car in an attempt to steal items.
  • 555 North Broad Street (Center Square Towers), Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) broke the passenger side window of a car and stole a purse.

December 27

  • 495 East Street at the 7-Eleven, Doylestown Borough. Unknown person(s) stole an air conditioner unit from an open bed pick-up truck while the victim was in the store.
  • Skyline Drive, Chalfont Borough. Unknown person(s) attempted to charge two laptop computers to the victim’s credit card.

December 28

  • 561 North Main Street at the McDonald's, Doylestown Borough. An unknown older man became irate and vandalized the restroom.
