Fire Guts Large Garage Off Of Swamp Road In Doylestown
Firefighters from multiple companies responded to the scene early Thursday afternoon for a building fire in the 400 block of Swamp Road.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — A detached garage was gutted by fire early Thursday afternoon in the 400 block of East Swamp Road in Doylestown .
Firefighters responded to the scene around 12:45 p.m. for a building fire. The first on the scene reported fire and heavy smoke showing from a garage.
Firefighters went into service with hose lines to knock down the fire. Companies operated for about two and a half hours putting out the fire and then conducting cleanup operations.

The fire caused traffic delays in and around the Route 202 and Swamp Road intersection.

Responding to the scene were the Doylestown Fire Company (Chief 19, Battalion 19, Engine 19, Engine 19-1, Utility 19, Tower 79, and Engine 79), Warwick Fire Company (Tower 66), Lingohocken (Engine 35 and Tanker 35), Midway (Tanker 5) and Warrington Fire Company.
Also responding were the Doylestown Fire Police and the Central Bucks Emergency Medical Services.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by Fire Marshal 229.
