Fitzpatrick Visits Buckingham Cancer Resource Center
Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick stopped by the Corinne Sikora Wellness and Support Center, which plans to open later this year in Buckingham.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick visited the Corinne Sikora Wellness and Support Center on Monday.
The Bucks County congressman toured the 5,000 square foot facility locate at the Heritage Center in Buckingham Township, across the street from the Fox Chase Cancer Center.
The support center, which plans to open later this year, will welcome anyone battling cancer, offering free services including nutrition classes, support groups, book clubs, yoga and fitness classes and acupuncture. It was the dream of Corinne Sikora, a local resident who passed away in November after succumbing to a battle with breast and brain cancer, to open a free cancer resource center in Bucks County.

"She told me this and I just kind of tucked it away," her husband Matt Sikora said. "After Corinne passed away, her friend Alyssa [Walloff] asked me if I would feel alright about her pursuing it, and of course I said yes."
Walloff then reached out to Keith Fenimore, executive director and founder of the Pine2Pink Foundation and Main Street Missions, who helped put the idea into action.

"The vision from Corrine was very much homey, welcoming, zen-like, non-medical, everything under one roof," Fenimore said.
Founding partners including Pine2Pink, friends and family of Corinne Sikora, Green Street Real Estate and private donors have raised more than $300,000 to date. Main Street Missions is seeking an additional $300,000 to get the center up and running.
Since announcing plans for the center in mid-March, the nonprofit has received support from the community. Indigenous Ingenuities plans to donate a garden and labyrinth, while Hendrixson's Furniture has offered to fully furnish the center at no cost.
The center is seeking additional donors, strategic partners and experts and practitioners to provide services. More information can be found here.
