DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Doylestown Historical Society and the Friends of the Doylestown Library are partnering to present a free lecture, “General W.W.H. Davis: The Essential Doylestonian,” focusing on one of the town’s most influential historical figures.

General W.W.H. Davis, a distinguished soldier, politician, antiquarian, and historian, is considered by many to be essential to understanding Doylestown. His vast and unequalled influence has shaped the community’s collective identity, shared values, and sense of history.

The talk will be given by historian Mike Campbell, president of the Bucks County Civil War Museum. Campbell, who is currently writing a biography of Davis, will share insights into the man who contributed so significantly to Doylestown’s rich history.
