'Fright Lines' To Bring Horror-Filled Open Mic Night To Doylestown Bookshop

DOYLESTOWN BOROUGH, PA — The Doylestown Bookshop has announced its participation in a new Horror-Lit Open Mic Series - Fright Lines - to be held locally on Friday, Oct. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.

As part of Fright Lines, the bookshop is daring writers, poets, and fearless fans of the macabre to "share your darkest stories" during an open mic night that will celebrate the terrifying, the twisted, and the uncanny.

"We will gather to share original horror-themed works — and maybe raise a few goosebumps," said event organizers. "Whether you’ve got bone-chilling flash fiction, a nightmare-inducing poem, or a tale that keeps you up at night, this is your chance to let it out ... before it eats you alive."

Visit Doylestown Bookshop on Friday, October 24, to share original horror-themed works or simply hang out and enjoy the nightmares.

What to bring: five minutes of original work, a willingness to be haunted and a friend to clutch during the scary parts (optional, but encouraged). Signups begin onsite at 5:30 p.m. Open mic runs from 6 to 8 p.m. For more information, visit tinyurl.com/FrightLines.
