Gun Violations, Assault Investigations: Doylestown Twp. Police Report
Police also reported several acts of criminal mischief, thefts from vehicles, a stolen compost bin, and numerous cases of fraud.
DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The Doylestown Township Police Department reported the following incidents and arrests during November.
Assault
- On Nov. 2, officers responded to a home on Springs Drive for an assault investigation.
- On Nov. 15, officers responded to an apartment building on Almshouse Road and investigated a dispute between residents in the lobby.
- On Nov. 19, officers investigated an assault at Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home.
Criminal Mischief

- On Nov. 4, a resident on Saddle Drive found a pile of screws on the ground near the tires of their parked car.
- On Nov. 21, a fenced public utilities building was accessed, and graffiti was placed on an electric utility box on Sauerman Road.
Disorderly Conduct
- On Nov. 13, police investigated the unwanted removal of a temporary yard sign on private property.
- On Nov. 28, a 52-year-old man was arrested for DUI after the operator was involved in a traffic collision on Almshouse Road.
Fraud

- On Nov. 7, a resident reported noticing several unauthorized transactions on her Door Dash account.
- On Nov. 12, a resident reported unauthorized online transactions on her bank account.
- On Nov. 13, a resident’s identity was compromised and used by an unknown person to apply for vehicle insurance.
- On Nov. 21, a resident was on the phone with what they believed was a financial representative. The resident was directed to take a large amount of cash from their bank and deposit it into a Bitcoin machine.
- On Nov. 24, a resident had a significant amount of crypto currency taken by deceptive, unauthorized access to their online account.
- On Nov. 26, a local business reported an unauthorized mobile deposit of a physical check.
Narcotics Violations
- On Nov. 5, officers took possession of narcotics and paraphernalia found on a patient at Doylestown Hospital.
Theft
- On Nov. 20, a resident on Sunset View Drive reported their compost bin was stolen from in front of the home when it was left out for the collection company.
- On Nov. 24, an overnight thief entered several unlocked vehicles on Duane Road.
- On Nov. 27, police investigated an employee’s missing cell phone at Mercer Hill at Doylestown.
Weapons Offenses
- On Nov. 7, officers conducted a traffic stop on Easton Road and developed probable cause to impound the vehicle. A search warrant was later executed, and a firearm was located. The driver was not licensed to carry a concealed weapon.
- On Nov. 10, a resident was reported to be possessing firearms and was prohibited from doing so as a convicted felon. Following an investigation, he was safely taken into custody and the firearms were seized.
During the month, police handled 773 calls for service, investigated 41 traffic accidents, and issued 53 traffic citations, 149 traffic warnings, and four non-traffic citations.
