The Italian restaurant in the Mercer Square shopping center closed on Feb. 7, the owners said.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Another restaurant has fallen victim to the coronavirus pandemic.

Il Melograno Ristorante, an authentic Italian eatery located in the Mercer Square shopping center in Doylestown, permanently closed on Feb. 7, the owners announced on Facebook.

"It is with great sadness that we announce that our last day of operation will be Sunday February 7," the post read.

The upscale restaurant was known for its authentic Italian cuisine, including pasta, fish and specialty desserts.

A phone number listed for the business was inactive as of Tuesday.
