District Judges, Common Pleas Judge to officiate Valentine's Day weddings

Judges All-In for Valentine's Day Weddings.
According to District Judge Gary Gambardella, “love actually is all around in Bucks County.” He and his colleagues are teaming up with Register of Wills Linda Bobrin to offer Valentine’s Day weddings countywide. Ms. Bobrin is coordinating weddings in Doylestown where they will be performed at the old Courthouse (now known as the Administration Building) and officiated by Common Pleas Judge Brian McGuffin.
Gambardella explained that District Judges throughout Bucks County will be officiating wedding ceremonies on Friday February 14, 2025 to mark the holiday which traditionally stands for a celebration of love and romance.

Almost every District Judge is participating – some are unable to participate due to court schedules. However, “we have the entire county covered from Ottsville to Morrisville and from Newtown to Middletown,” Gambardella said. “One of our District Judges in Bristol has been especially enthusiastic about this event,” he added.
For the Doylestown ceremony, in addition to having a Common Pleas Judge officiate the Valentine’s Day nuptials, Bobrin has arranged for couples exchanging vows to receive “red carpet treatment,” including flowers, a photographer and even live music. Couples interested in the Common Pleas weddings must schedule with the Register of Wills Office while couples interested in a District Court wedding should contact their individual District Courts for scheduling.

However, Gambardella noted that any couples participating in Valentine’s Day wedding — whether at the local District Courts or at the Justice Center — must first obtain a valid license. Couples can apply online at BucksCounty.gov and search for “Applying for a marriage license.” While local District Judges officiate weddings, the District Courts do not issue the licenses and that application process must start with the Register of Wills online.
“Once again, Linda Bobrin and her staff have been absolutely amazing partners,” Gambardella said, adding that “our focus is to make sure February 14th is a very special day for couples throughout Bucks County who chose Valentine’s Day to exchange their marriage vows.”
Couples interested in being married by their local District Judge are encouraged to contact their own District Court for more information. A list of the District Judges, their addresses and phone numbers are listed below.
