Man Faces Felony Theft Charges In Warrington

Police said he was observed by store employees placing items into Walmart bags and then exiting the store without paying.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A 41-year-old Levittown man faces felony theft charges following an incident in early September at the Warrington Walmart store.

On Sept. 4 at about 3:19 p.m., police said William Wolf was observed by store employees placing items into Walmart bags and then proceeding to exit the store without paying.

When a store employee attempted to stop Wolf, police said he quickly exited the store, dropping his phone in the process. He then got into his vehicle and left the scene, traveling northbound on Easton Road.

Police said his red Chevrolet sedan was approaching Walgreens when officers stopped the vehicle. Police confirmed it was the same man observed by Walmart Loss Prevention. Police also observed Walmart bags containing merchandise in the front right passenger area of the vehicle.

Walmart provided a receipt for the items showing a loss of $219.54

Wolf was charged with retail theft, receiving stolen merchandise, driving while operating privileges were suspended, and operating a vehicle without a valid inspection.

Wolf is awaiting his preliminary hearing.
