​Main St. Raises Record-Breaking $155K For Bucks Co. Cancer Patients

Doylestown-based nonprofit sets a record for the most funds raised bringing its seven-year total to more than $700,000.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — The Doylestown-based nonprofit, Main St., has raised a record-breaking $155,000 in support of the Bucks County breast cancer community.

The funds were raised through the support of local residents and businesses from participating towns and destinations including Newtown, Carversville, Doylestown, Yardley, Peddler’s Village, Perkasie, New Hope, Shops at Valley Square, and Thompsonville (Thompson car dealerships).

The non-profit’s title sponsor - the Thompson Organization - and special presenting sponsor - Giovanni’s Fine Fashions - along with more than 125 sponsors and partners propelled the success of the month-long fundraising effort in October and brought in the single largest donation to date for the organization.

Over the last seven years, the family-run non-profit has donated just over $700,000, which has helped more than 2500 local breast cancer patients in treatment and recovery across Bucks County. The funds generated by Main St. have helped create and fund impactful programs including:

  • Cold-capping
  • Out-of-pocket expense relief (paying patient’s household bills)
  • Integrative Services through Kin Wellness and Support Center and Unite for Her
  • Home food delivery
  • Comfort ‘care bags’ for newly diagnosed patients
  • Treatment transportation
  • The purchase of new state-of-the-art infusion chairs at Fox Chase Cancer Center
  • Buckingham and Doylestown Health Cancer Institute.
  • Sound system for the cancer facility at Fox Chase Buckingham used during radiation treatments.

“Our aim is to engage with our local community in a meaningful way while keeping all the funds we raise local, ensuring we benefit the needs of those who need support as they battle breast cancer," said Keith Feinmore, co-founder and executive director of Main St. "Year-over-year our successful fundraising programs engage thousands of people across the county. We celebrate our breast cancer survivors and thrivers, and we are beyond grateful to this community who share our passion for providing hyper-local support where it is needed."

The recipients of this year’s fundraising efforts are: Fox Chase Cancer Center Buckingham, Grand View Hospital, Kin Wellness and Support Center, Doylestown Health’s Cancer Institute, and Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic St. Mary Cancer Center.

This year, Main St. accepted its largest donation to date - $100,000 - from the Mr. Bucks County Competition in Newtown. The competition, held in October, crowned developer Joe DeLuca as Mr. Bucks County after he raised a whopping $50,000 for the cause. The event was spearheaded by Main St.’s Presenting Sponsor Gina-Maria Santoro, owner of Giovanni’s Fine Fashions.

The 2024 Main St. Title Sponsor was The Thompson Organization and the Special Presenting Sponsor was Giovanni’s Fine Fashions.
