JAMISON, PA — The Middle Bucks Institute of Technology participated in a fundraiser to supply children with warm coats for the winter.

"This is a heartbreaking situation, as no child should have to go without the necessity of warmth and comfort," the school said in a statement.

Students were able to collect $1,120, which was given to the fundraiser, which was established in 2008 and provides new coats to underprivileged children. The foundation is on track to distribute over 53,000 new coats, having distributed a total of $7.3 million in coats since its inception.
