New Wawa Opening This Week In Doylestown

Wawa will celebrate the grand opening of its 700th fuel store on South Main Street in Doylestown.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Wawa, Inc. will open its 700th fuel store and its second in Doylestown Borough on Thursday, the company announced.

The new store will include 12 gas pumps and all the Wawa staples such as coffee, breakfast sandwiches and specialty beverages while also offering mobile ordering, curbside pickup and delivery options.

Construction on the new store at 425 S. Main St. began last spring. It will officially open to the public at 7 a.m. Thursday.

Wawa will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 7:30 a.m. to mark the occasion. Doylestown Borough Mayor Ron Strouse, the Central Bucks Regional Police Department and the Doylestown Fire Department are among those expected to attend the event.

As part of the grand opening celebration, the Wawa Foundation and the American Red Cross will unveil a new Next Generation Emergency Response Vehicle that will allow Red Cross volunteers and officials to respond to emergency situations.

Michael Marino will serve as general manager of the new store, leading a team of about 40 employees.

The new 4,700 square foot store is located at the site of a former TD Bank and is a relocation from its original spot at 339 S. Main St.
