Officials Won't Release Cause Of Cold Spring Elementary Fire
It is not clear exactly why officials will not release the cause of the February fire at Cold Spring Elementary School.

BUCKINGHAM TOWNSHIP, PA — Authorities have declined to disclose the cause of a February fire at Cold Spring Elementary School.
The Bucks County District Attorney's office, which assisted in the investigation, issued a news release Wednesday stating the investigation had concluded and "the matter is now closed. "
However, the release failed to state the cause or origin of the fire, only noting "no criminal charges will be filed."

"After a thorough investigation of this isolated incident, this matter is now closed," District Attorney Matthew D. Weintraub said in the statement. "School should be a safe place for our children to be every day. All of the occupants of Cold Spring Elementary School and its surrounding communities are safe."
When asked directly about the cause, DA spokesman James O'Malley said: "We did not release that information."

In response to a question as to why that information was not released, O'Malley said "we’re simply not discussing the content of the investigation."
It is not clear exactly why officials will not release the cause of the fire.
Central Bucks School District Communications and Public Relations Administrator Angela Linch referred all questions to the DA's office. Linch did not respond to an inquiry about the cost of damage incurred from the fire.
The Buckingham Township Fire Marshal did not immediately respond to an inquiry from Patch.
Central Bucks School District Superintendent John Kopicki, in a message to the school community, said: "Central Bucks is satisfied with the results, and has been reassured that the school, our students, staff, and surrounding community, are safe."
No one was injured in the fire, which broke out in an unoccupied classroom on the second floor of the school building. All students and faculty were safely evacuated.
When firefighters arrived to the scene on Durham Road, smoke was visible and students were evacuated, police said at the time.
The building's sprinkler system activated and the fire was contained to one classroom.
