Paul P. Brady, 92, Served As Doylestown Borough Chief Of Police
Brady became a policeman for Doylestown Borough beginning in 1963, working his way from patrolman to sergeant to chief of police.

DOYLESTOWN, PA — Former Doylestown Borough Chief of Police Paul P. Brady passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 21, 2024. He was 92.
Soon after his birth in Philadelphia, Mr. Brady moved with his family to Bucks County. Following graduation from Central Bucks High School in 1950, he served four years in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
After serving his country, Brady married his wife and love of his life, Mary, in 1956.

Brady joined the Doylestown Borough Police Department in 1963, working his way through the ranks from patrolman to sergeant to chief of police. Brady served as chief from 1978 until his retirement in 1996. He then worked for the County of Bucks for an additional 10 years.
Brady volunteered many hours to Central Bucks Ambulance, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, the local Fraternal Order of Police, and served as the president of the Bucks County Chiefs of Police in 1988.

An avid outdoorsman, Brady enjoyed hunting and fishing all around the country, Canada, Alaska, and especially enjoyed his trips to Maine for turkey hunting.
Brady is the son of the late Leo P. and Sophie (nee Kita) Brady, the husband of the late Mary M. Brady (nee Czapor), and the father of the late Paul P. Jr (Sharon), the late Daniel D., and surviving son, Stephen S. (Karen). He is also survived by his brother, James, and sisters Caroline and Mary, and his six grandchildren Ashlee, Aimee, Amanda, Paul III, Danielle and Stephen. He was preceded in death by his brother Benjamin.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial contributions in Paul's name be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, N.Y. 10306.
Arrangements are by the Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home, Doylestown.
