Plumstead Police Log: Dog Bite Sends Woman To Hospital

Police are investigating after a woman suffered multiple dog bite wounds in Plumstead Township.

PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Plumstead Township Police Department reported the following incidents between March 15 and March 21, 2021.

March 15

At 2:14 p.m., officers assisted the Bucks County Area Agency on Aging and Plumsteadville EMS to transport a disabled adult male on Rolling Glen Drive

At 4:05 p.m., officers served an involuntary commitment for an emergency evaluation and treatment to an individual on Durham Road. The man was subsequently taken by Plumsteadville EMS.

At 5:46 p.m., officers responded to Cephas Child Road for a dog bite incident. An adult woman sustained multiple bite wounds and was taken by Central Bucks EMS to a local hospital for evaluation. The incident is under investigation.

At 7:35 p.m., officers investigated a domestic dispute between a husband and wife on Christopher Day Road. Officers were able to mediate the situation and no further action was required.

March 16

At 2:10 a.m., officers investigated a domestic dispute on North Easton Road. Officers spoke to the people separately and each party was advised of options available to them. Officers were able to mediate the situation and no further action was required.

At 10:18 p.m., officers responded to North Easton Road to assist Plumsteadville EMS with an adult woman suffering from a seizure. The woman was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for evaluation.

March 17

At 12:30 p.m., officers assisted Bucks County Children and Youth with an investigation at a home on North Easton Road. Officers stood by while Bucks County Children and Youth completed their investigation.

At 1:06 p.m., officers responded to North Easton Road to assist Plumsteadville EMS with two adults experiencing withdrawal symptoms. The S.T.A.R program was explained and offered to them. The woman was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

At 3:56 p.m., officers responded to a call for a report of road rage that occurred on Easton Road. The caller provided a description of the other vehicle and officers checked the surrounding area with no contact.

At 8:07 p.m., officers investigated a call for a possible overdose on Ridgetop Road. Upon arrival, officers were greeted by a woman who said her husband was lying on the bathroom floor. Central Bucks EMS transported the adult male to a local hospital. S.T.A.R program was explained and offered.

March 18

At 3:45 p.m., officers assisted Bucks County Children and Youth with an investigation on Ferry Road. Officers stood by while Bucks County Children and Youth completed their investigation. 3/

March 19

At 7:48 pm, officers investigated a domestic dispute on Hearthstone Drive. Officers were able to mediate the situation and no further action was taken.

At 10:22 p.m., officers investigated a call for a noise complaint in the area of Applebutter Road. Officers were able to contact the homeowner and mediate the complaint.

March 20

At 1:42 a.m., officers responded to a call on Blue Ridge Road to assist Plumsteadville EMS with a possible stroke victim. EMS transported the adult female to a local hospital for evaluation.

March 21

At 6:50 p.m., officers investigated a call for an unwanted person at a home on Durham Road. Officers were able to speak with all parties involved and mediate the situation. The unwanted person left the residence, and no further action was needed.
